The Kornhusker Kids 4-H Club Crop Scouting Team would like to invite you to show off your agronomy skills this Saturday, August 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by competing in the Cuming County Crop Scouting Identification Contest.
The contest will be held in front of the 4-H Building on the Cuming County Fairgrounds in West Point. Topics will include general agronomic knowledge, weed and insect id, and the basics of scouting corn and soybean fields.
There will be four age divisions: 11 and under, 12 to 15, 16 to 18, and 19 and older. Industry professionals are not allowed to use resources. Prizes will be awarded to all participants and the winner of each division will receive a $25 gift card.
