Southeast Nebraska livestock producers and small acreage owners can improve their knowledge and enhance their operations by attending the 2024 Southeast Nebraska Pasture & Acreage Expo. Scheduled for Friday, August 23rd, the conference will take place at the Lancaster County Extension office in Lincoln.
The conference kicks off with registration, refreshments and a trade show in the main conference room at 1:00 p.m. Educational programs are from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and include time for attendees to visit exhibitor booths.
Nebraska Extension is uniquely suited to bring producers and acreage owners unbiased and research-based information that will be shared at this program. The 2024 expo features topics including equine nutrition, virtual fencing, pasture establishment/grazing management, winter cow care, pasture weed management, plant & weed identification, and windbreak management.
This expo will help both experienced and first-time landowners learn animal and pasture management strategies to maximize the value of their properties and livestock operations. The program will address important issues for Nebraska ranchers and acreage owners, and will provide one-on-one discussion with local, private industry exhibitors and sponsors.
Please preregister for planning purposes by August 22: https://croptechcafe.org/pastureacreageexpo. Agenda, details and map/directions are also at the website.
